Each room at Mudlark River Front Lodge is exquisitely decorated with delicate furnishings that will remind one of home. Great hospitality and individual service is what guests experience far away from home at this Western Cape accommodation. 

A maximum of 10 guests are hosted, which means you'll really be getting away from the maddening crowd. The 5 comfortable double rooms of timber construction are sited on both sides of the main lodge and all have river views. The rooms contain single or double beds, all of which have en suites.

The Mudlark River Front Lodge consists of a central timber lodge containing the entertainment and dining areas. There is a lounge with a fireplace for those chilly winter evenings. DSTV is provided. The communal dining area overlooks the river so you can enjoy breakfast with a view.

There is also a relaxing lounge with river views and a small congenial bar for guest use only, where one can spend the evening in the company of new found friends.

Outside is a large covered leisure deck with exceptional views. Laze the day away or enjoy sundowners as you watch the fiery sun dip behind the Potberg Mountains. Reflect on a day well spent.

Enjoy a delicious home cooked English farmhouse breakfast and a 3 course dinner featuring local farm harvesting from both the river and the ocean. Traditional specialties include oysters, fresh line fish, calamari and ostrich. Lunch is available on request.

Hilary, the chef and owner, was trained in England and specialises in country cuisine. She was the top chef in the Overberg chef of the year 2000 competition 'guest house category'. Traditional braai (barbeque) is sometimes done alfresco on the deck. Meals are taken in the communal dinning room. If you are out for the day, picnic lunches can be arranged.
